Questions, answered

What is Super Games Lab?

Super Games Lab is an independent game studio that makes free games you play in a web browser. Its current games are Sopwith: Iron Skies, a WWI biplane combat game, and Wings of Honor, a WWII fighter combat game. More kinds of games are on the way.

Are Super Games Lab games free?

Yes. Sopwith: Iron Skies and Wings of Honor are free to play in the browser, including the full campaigns and multiplayer.

Do I need to download or install anything?

No. The games run in any modern web browser with WebGL on Windows, Mac, Linux, Chromebook, Android and iPhone or iPad. Open the page and you are flying in seconds.

Can I play with friends?

Yes. Open a room and share the code to fly the co-op campaign together, fight Allied versus Axis team battles, or replay uneven historic battles. Computer pilots fill any empty seats, and ranked team battles count toward a monthly season.

Which planes can I fly?

Sopwith: Iron Skies has ten WWI aircraft: the Sopwith Camel, Pup and Triplane, Nieuport 17, S.E.5a and SPAD XIII, and the German Albatros D.III, Pfalz D.IIIa, Fokker Dr.I and Fokker D.VII. Wings of Honor has fourteen WWII fighters, including the Hurricane, Spitfire, P-47 Thunderbolt, P-51 Mustang, Corsair, Hellcat, Bf 109, Fw 190, Macchi C.202, Zero and the Me 262 jet, each with its own cockpit.

Do the games work with a controller or on a phone?

Yes. Both games support keyboard and mouse, touch controls on phones and tablets, and standard gamepads such as Xbox and PlayStation controllers.

Do I need an account?

No account is needed to play. A free account, created with just an email link, saves your pilot career, medals and friends and puts your name on the daily challenge and season leaderboards across every Super Games Lab game.

What is the daily challenge?

Every day at midnight UTC each game sets one new mission that is the same for every pilot. Your best score of the day goes on that day's leaderboard.

Can I try new games before they come out?

Yes. Players aged 13 and over with a free account can join playtests under Your account → Notifications. Players 16 and over can also choose to get an email when a playtest opens, and can unsubscribe at any time.
